In a recent interview released by CARJAM TV this week, Star Trek Into Darkness actress Alice Eve has made her first comments about Carol Marcus’ return for STAR TREK BEYOND.
Well, I’m not sure about my return [for the next film], but ‘Star Trek 3’, I think, is going to go in an interesting direction, and I look forward to it.
Sure, there’s not really much to read into in her statement, as this interview was filmed on June 22, just before the start of filming in British Columbia — but as of this week, Eve is still in the UK, showcasing a visit to the Globe Theatre in London just the other day.
Carol Marcus was on board the Enterprise at the end of the previous film, as the ship headed off to their new five-year mission, but with the rest of the cast (along with guest actors Idris Elba and Sofia Boutella) up in Vancouver now, it certainly seems that if she’s going to be part of the next sequel, her part will be somewhat reduced from last time — if she’s going to be there at all.
