STAR TREK BEYOND actor Idris Elba has arrived in Vancouver! The English actor, set to take on a lead role in the 2016 film, has made his way to western Canada to join up with the Enterprise crew.
Elba, who spends his time making music when he’s not acting, spent Saturday night spinning tracks at the Café Mambo nightclub in Ibiza…
…then flew into Vancouver International Airport on Sunday to get set for filming in studio with the rest of the cast.
Elba has more dates scheduled in Ibiza this August — if that’s your neck of the woods.

Following up on this weekend’s confirmation from the Dubai Film and Television Commission that STAR TREK BEYOND will be filming there this October, DFTC Head of Operations Saeed al Janahi shared this photo today, with director Justin Lin and co-writer Doug Jung.
The pair visited the area a few months ago, arranging for the BEYOND visit and possibly scouting filming locations. We hope to bring you more on the Dubai plans as we approach October.
