Dubai, Day 5: Get Ready to Say Goodbye to BEYOND

Time is winding down for STAR TREK BEYOND, but we haven’t stopped watching!

First today up is Chris Pine on set with lucky visitor Sara Al-Pachachi — note here that he’s wearing the blue “away uniform” pants first seen in the Screencrush set leak photos out of Vancouver.

We’ve also got another round of set photos from a new location in Dubai, the base of Daman Tower. Judging by the lack of Starfleet uniforms, this seems to be a more civilian-centered area.

We also have several new videos, which seems to focus on a children’s area.

Note the four-segemnt trampoline in use in the first clip, and the camera dolly centered around a young girl with parent in the second video.

A few barely-humanoid alien creatures roam the walkways; just imagine how hot it must be inside those costumes! The first creature seems to be tethered to a portable cooling unit to keep the actor inside the giant prosthetic safe.

Lastly today, we have a few extra things we’ve picked up through social media. First is this thank you card sent to Vex Motorsports in California, who provided vehicle parts used in the film.

A late holdover from Canada, this patch was given out to members of the grip team who worked on set in Vancouver.
