Space… The Final Frontier. These are the voyages of the I.S.S. Enterprise. Its continuing mission: to conquer strange new worlds, to enslave new life and new civilizations… to boldly go where no one has gone before!

Return to the Mirror Universe with the Next Generation crew in a way you’ve never seen them before in this prequel to the upcoming Star Trek: The Next Generation miniseries, Mirror Broken!

Captain Jean-Luc Picard will stop at nothing to get his hands on the Terran Empire’s newest starship, the Enterprise-D. And no one had better stand in his way!

Coming from Trek comic mainstays Scott and David Tipton – with art by J. K. Woodward – Mirror Broken is the start of a new Mirror Universe continuity, as the Terran Empire was long gone by television’s TNG era (as seen starting with the Deep Space Nine episode “Crossover”).

We’ll have our review of this prequel issue – and the following series – as they arrive in 2017!

  • Locutus

“Free Comic Book Day”? Call me a dolt, or does that mean this comic is free? Or is there some caveat?

    • Aidan Duffy

You’re not a dolt. The day is held every year by retailers to lure in new readers, especially with a cliffhangery issue like this one will probably be. Only caveat is most stores will only give out one per customer.

  • Fctiger

Wow that cover art is fantastic…and scary lol. I’m not a big comic book reader but I would consider reading this series. It looks interesting and I liked all the MU stories from the shows.

  • Michael

Absurd cover and corruption of beloved characters.

    • gavabot

      welcome to the modern world

      • Tone

Yeah, everywhere I go, people (I hope it’s still ok with you to call them that?) look and act like that, and if they don’t i’m mortally offended.

I’m so happy I can be offended all the time, as I’m making the most out of it, whilst it’s still fashionable.

    • Fctiger

Thats the point of the mirror universe. They are SUPPOSE to be corrupt.

      • Michael

        They made Troi a slut

        • Fctiger

They made Kira a dictorial bisexual slut in DS9 Mirror Universe…what’s your point?

          • Michael

Point is what you talk about is canon, this underground comic book “drawn by virgins” in their parents basement stuff is sad

          • Fctiger

I havent SEEN of the book man, just the cover. And it follows every MU story told in Trek from Enterprise to DS9. I like to see a TNG version even if its just a comic book. But if you dont like it, cool. To me it looks interesting.

          • Sally Lloyd

Sorry. The mirror universe is cannon. There has been a mirror universe book written for TOS called Dark Mirror. It was written years ago. Then it was used in DS9. So this is is not an underground book. It deals with an area that has already featured in ST history.

          • Michael

None of the books are canon.

  • Tone

Oh my god.. This is just nasty. I prey Discovery is not remotely like this at any time…

    • Gary Smith

Rammstein? I am unfamiliar with that reference.

    • DS9 is King

This Comic is what Star Trek should be and I am hopping Star Trek Discovery could be like this, if you hope Discovery is not like this your just weird.

  • Danny

So does this mean that the mirror universe we see in DS9 no longer exists or is this ANOTHER mirror universe? TNG period the Terran Empire is suppose to have been conquered by the Klingons and Cardassians for quite some time.

    • Pedro Ferreira

I thought it was the same one as DS9 and TOS. Why wouldn’t it be?

      • Danny

Hi Pedro, if we follow the history established by DS9 the Terran Empire fell in the latter part of the 23rd century so there should be no ISS Enterprise by the TNG period. Terrans are, at best, second class citizens and, at worse, slaves by this time.

        • Pedro Ferreira

Oh I see, well that presents a problem.

        • Sally Lloyd

Why? They could be rebels who still use that as their ship designation. It could still be possible.

    • Jim Hammond

In DS9 they never call it the Mirror Universe, they call it the Alternate Universe hopefully that’s an alternate version where the Terran Empire fell and this is the true Mirror Universe but probably not 😞

      • Jim Hammond

maybe they used time travel to change the past

  • Lyk

That beard weirdly looks good on picard xD

  • DS9 is King

Space… The Final Frontier. These are the voyages of the I.S.S. Enterprise. Its continuing mission: to conquer strange new worlds, to enslave new life and new civilizations… to boldly go where no one has gone before! This is how they could Start off a Mirror universe TV series if we ever get one.

  • Mirror Universe

Also It’s Sad that we can’t get a Mirror Universe Star Trek series many people tried to do a Star Trek series set in the Mirror Universe but the Fans prevented it they say ”that’s not Star Trek” and they prevent it and it’s pathetic, well all I am going to say is thank God for Death by Natural Causes because these people who prevent great ideas and shoot down peoples hopes and dreams of having a Mirror Universe series should die and they will someday. 🙂
