Hallmark Reveals 2019 STAR TREK Ornament Plans

Every year at the annual Las Vegas Star Trek convention, long-time licensee Hallmark shares a peak at what they’ve got coming for ornament collectors in the coming year — and we’ve got a first look at their plans for Trek in 2019!

First up, though, here’s a good look at a few new releases set for later in 2018, which haven’t yet debuted to the public. The last ornament of the year is set to debut in October at New York Comic Con, a silver-colored, all-metal rendition of the classic USS Enterprise starship — it’s coming October 6 and will be priced at $39.99.

In the company’s plush-doll Itty Bitties line, four Hallmark.com webstore exclusives are debuting in the coming weeks.

Mirror Kirk and Mirror Spock from the Terran Empire (sold separately), as well as a two-pack of Wrath of Khan-era Admiral Kirk and Khan, will be available soon for prices ranging from $7.95 – $15.99.

Looking ahead now to 2019, Hallmark shared four previews of their upcoming products (in paper mockup form), starting with another ornament from their Star Trek: Discovery line — a recreation of the end of “Choose Your Pain,” where Burnham gifts Captain Georgiou’s telescope to Saru.

Their second 2019 ornament will be a tribble — it’s not clear yet if this will be a “fuzzy” ornament, or sculpted to resemble the little furballs, but we’ll try and get more clarity on this and update this post when we know more.

The third ornament for next year is the refit Constitution-class USS Enterprise (NCC-1701), as it appeared in Star Trek: The Motion Picture — a fitting release for the 40th Anniversary year of the first Trek film.

Finally, Hallmark also showed off another Itty Bitties pairing due for 2019, one that will make Voyager fans happy: it’s Seven of Nine and Captain Janeway in plush form.

Hallmark also has all of this year’s ornaments released to date on sale at STLV this week, including the convention-exclusive Animated Series pairing of Arex and M’Ress from the 1970s show.

The company has a dedicated panel here in Las Vegas later this week — and we’ll be sure to bring you any additional news they share if it breaks!
