Amanda is the daughter of actor David Bruce. She was the JAG Captain and former lover of Captain Picard in the Next Generation’s “The Measure of a Man”. Her other TV appearances included "Magnum, P.I.", "Remington Steele", "M*A*S*H", "Hart to Hart", and two episodes of "Hawaii Five-O". Amanda’s is better noted as a singer and songwriter, with several albums to her credit. Her most famous work is “The Rose”, the title song sung by Bette Midler in the 1979 film.
