    They do great stuff.

Agreed. Nothing says “B-level franchise” better than “Mega-Blocks”

Mega-Bloks (or Mega-Construx) are actually better than LEGOs in some way. For example, they use pieces with graphics printed on the pieces versus decals.

However, it looks like they already dropped Star Trek. It’s no longer listed as one of their brands.

‘The Science Fiction Horrible’ …. All you do is make fun of other peoples suggestions. The irony is, the more people you discourage from freely contributing their ideas and opinions, the more likely it is you’ll be responsible for killing yet another arena of free speech and will have no one left to play with. A lot like your childhood.

I’m afraid LEGO is not interested in a B-level-TV-franchise. They have a deal with Disney.

      • Christian Gomez

Star Trek is in absolutely no way a “B-level-TV-franchise.” And as for Mega-Blocks they are an up and coming great company with many fun and quality products. The more free market competition the better! As far as licenses go, I’m thrilled about McFarlane Toys making 7″ figures, however it sure would be nice to see Playmates make both Star Trek Discovery and Star Trek Enterprise figures in the 4.5″ like they did in the 90s with TOS, TNG, DS9, and Voyager. Like many Trek fans from the 90s, I still have a lot of Playmates figures and would enjoy having Enterprise and Discovery figures of the same scale! 🙂

  • Marc Henson

I just want a decent Star Trek video game…is that too much to ask?

There’s been good ones, like Elite Force one and two and The Fallen…but most of the rest sucked pretty bad.

    • Locutus

A good Star Trek game would make me VERY happy too! I would love an immersive RPG or Mass Effect scale space adventure.

  • danwat1234

Rizzoli, as in Rizzoli & Isles?

  • Scott Kardel

Any word about a soundtrack of music from the series?

    • Julian Glover

If one is released, I have low expectations. It’s being done by Jeff Russo, who did a decent job on legion, but is in a rock band, so the possibility that the director may ask for some ‘hip’ or more popular styled music is present.

Of course they are going to try to cash in as much as possible now they realise just how bad the backlash is (not including the superfans who come to this website).

Well, this kind of puts a nail in the coffin of some pundits’ claim that Discovery was a dead on arrival series because there was no one angling for licensing merchandise for it. There may indeed be problems ahead for Discovery, but this is apparently not one of them.
