Toy Fair 2018: More QMx STAR TREK 1:6 Model Prototypes

In addition to the new Star Trek: Discovery badges revealed this morning at Toy Fair in New York City, QMx also rolled out a number of still-developing prototype figures to expand their 1:6-scale line of high-quality Star Trek character reproductions.

Over the past year QMx has debuted their 1:6 “Space Seed” Khan Singh figure, and on display at Toy Fair is their prototype Star Trek II-era Khan, complete with wild silver hair and scavenged wardrobe from the Botany Bay.

Joining him from the movie line are the next iteration of the Wrath of Khan-era Admiral Kirk and Captain Spock, with wonderfully-detailed ‘monster maroon’ uniforms, right down to the pip-and-squeak insignia on their wrists.

From The Next Generation comes QMx’s 1:6 Lt. Commander Data prototype, following in the footsteps of QMx’ 1:6 Captain Picard released in 2017, complete with 24th Century uniform details and a standard Starfleet tricorder.

Finally, from the days of the Original Series comes Montgomery Scott and Hikaru Sulu, complete with classic Trek uniforms and accessories.

As with all of QMx’s prototypes, there’s no release date for any of these figures yet determined, as each continues to work through licensing and likeness approvals.

Along with the 1:6 figures comes two of QMx’s first “Master Series Latinum Edition” models, the Enterprise-D and Picard as Locutus, which are rolling out as part of the Star Trek “Mission Crate” releases from LootCrate this Spring.

The two models will be LootCrate exclusives for a time, but are expected to eventually come to QMx’s web store for direct purchase. The second “Latinum Edition” releases, not on display at Toy Fair, will be a USS Defiant ship model and a Lieutenant Worf character model.

We’re not done with Toy Fair yet! Come back tomorrow for more from the show, including our look at lots of stylish new Trek bags from The Coop, and a status update on at McFarlane Toys’ Star Trek: Discovery phaser!
